The 2008 Adult National Championships were held this week in Lake Placid, NY where we skated at the Olympic Center (1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena and 1932 Rink Jack Shea Arena).
Results:
The Eastern Sectionals event was held in Wayne, New Jersey this year at the Ice Vault Arena. Took home 1st place in freestyle skating to themes from Pirates.
An unprecedented event occured in the men’s silver event with the three men tieing for first place!
Started the 2008 season with an icy trip to the Berkshires for the Gold Ladies event on Saturday, February 2. Took 3rd place this year in Gold with the debut of the new Pirates of the Caribbean program. Next event is the Eastern’s Event in New Jersey next month.

Nationals were held in Chicago, IL this past week. Skated my competitive freestyle to "Blue Velvet" and interpretive to two songs from "Celtic Women." Came in 8th in the freestyle and 3rd in the interpretive programs.
Came in second at the Eastern Sectional Event held at the Colonial Figure Skating rink in Boxborough, MA this weekend skating to "Blue Velvet."
Despite a long drive out to the Berkshires on Friday night and blustery, snowy weather, we’re off to a great start to the skating season. Skated at 9 AM on Saturday, February 3 against a total of 4 competitors (6 competitors originally registered but many cancelled due to the weather). This event only has Massachusetts competitors and they are divided by level, not by age range. Came in first place and brought home the gold and a Bay State Games sweatshirt! Cool.

Time to skate! I’m currently in training for the 2006-2007 adult skating competitve season and have two new programs in the works. It’s been a long year filled with injuries, surgeries, and one foot is in need of ligament repair now but still feeling strong overall. Both the freestyle and interpretive costumes will be homemade but of course the colors, style, and program music will be a secret for a little while still!
10/14/06) - Team USA swept the gold medals in all four events at JGP Taipei City in the Junior Grand Prix event this weekend. 10/15/06 The Campbell’s Cup will be held in Ohio and aired on ABC at 1 PM EST.
